The Camden Story
Our work on “The Camden” townhome residences was recognized for its excellence in design and construction. Nominated along with some of Greater Vancouver’s top builders and designers, we are honoured to receive the nomination for these homes, which are located in the heart of Vancouver’s bourgeoning Mount Pleasant neighbourhood on West 13th.
Now in its fifth year, the Ovation Awards honour the best home building projects and companies in Metro Vancouver. They distinguish “influential and trend-setting” firms, and continue to pursue design and construction brilliance in every way. We are delighted to be included in their roster of talented businesses.
The Camden: Modern Living, Timeless Design
From the get-go, our work on The Camden focused on creating elegant living spaces that felt modern and charming at the same time. Nestled in Vancouver’s trendy Mount Pleasant neighbourhood, the four townhomes were built with a focus on fine details, such as: crown molding, 18-foot vaulted ceilings, quartz countertop finishes, French door patios, open-concept living rooms, and premium wood flooring.
The Neighbourhood
We took inspiration from our traditional roots (which date back over four generations) to give the exterior of the homes a classic heritage look with a modern twist. When finished, each residence naturally fit in with its quiet, tree-lined surroundings on West 13th, but also evoked the urban-hip appeal nearby areas like Main Street, the Cambie corridor, Mount Pleasant Park and more.
The Style
Each separate home was given a name to reflect its uniqueness and flair. Aptly named The Street House, The Lane House, The Garden House and the Coach House, the four residences catered to couples or families seeking modern, open-concept spaces that were distinctive in their own way.
The Features
The homes boasted beautifully finished large wood patios or decks — the perfect setting for summer barbeques and outdoor entertaining. Likewise the kitchens were tailored made for the food and cooking enthusiast, each featuring state-of-the-art, stainless steel appliances, hardwood floors, and sleek, quartz top counter spaces.
The Space
Space was a major highlight in each of the Camden homes. All four residences featured 2 bedrooms, dining areas, multiple bathrooms and large open-concept layouts that filtered natural light throughout every area of the homes. A tasteful minimalism ensured an atmosphere that was relaxing, yet bright and stylish.
